Wine Description
Pommard, Domaine Joillot
Pommard is a very old French village, which takes its name from Pomone, the Roman goddess of fruit and gardens. And since it is located in France, what better fruit to grow than grapes? The soil, microclimate favourable to orchards, and hard work have made the Pommard one of the emblems of Burgundy. It is one of the most exported wines around the world. Mister Joillot’s Pommard strikes a balance on acidity in its first years, then it becomes rounded over time. Classic and sophisticated, we think it’s best aged 4-5 years.
