Wine Description
Classic and sophisticated. A delicious, perfectly balanced red wine, typical of the South of France. This beauty is always in harmony, never sliding too much on one side in terms of taste: powerful, but not too much; fruity, but not too much; and tannic, but not too much. The blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan gives a pleasant wine all year round. It comes from French Catalonia, in the first foothills of the Pyrenees, never far from the Mediterranean. The estate has belonged to the Jonquère D’Oriola family since Louis XIV – 1485 to be precise. The estate is now run by William Jonquère d’Oriola, whose father is Catalan and whose mother is Scottish: a very creative, very dynamic mix! The Jonquère d’Oriola family make great wine but their have also given France several Olympic medals in fencing and in horse riding.
