Les Figues is reference to the massive, aged fig tree which dominate the landscape of the main house on the estate of Vincent Bpyer. From the Southern Rhone, “Les Figues” Rouge is a luscious blend of 60% Syrah, 20 % Carignan and 20% Grenache, grown in calcareous clay soils. All of Vincent’s wines are destemmed and fermented in stainless steel vats to preserve the freshness. The estate is in the process of gaining organic certification.
There is plenty to like about this wine such as bright and cheery aromas of fresh fig with a little hint of garrigue then a touch of thyme. Medium-bodied wine with a very long finish.
