Since the beginning of this slightly daring experience, we have overcome a number of hardships. Each day we feel we are getting closer to achieving our goal of producing great Irish wine.
The best way to move forward is surrounding yourself with in strong team, communicating and sharing of knowledge with some of France’s top wine producing experts. Arnaud Clopin alongside his wife Aine Clopin represent a beautiful image of sharing the French / Irish association. Thanks to many Irish friends and their unwavering wishes but also to our French partners we see our journey progressing day by day.
Test then build
The success of wine production in Ireland will be highlighted by numerous tests. We are testing different grape varieties to see which has the potential to live better under Irish climatic and soils conditions. We strive to have a perfect balance between quality and quantity. As we approach the end of the 1st year since planting our vines they now are well pruned. Steel wiring is in place in preparation for their ever creeping stems. It is delight to watch them expand over the Summer months.
